| I was born on 14th October 1918 in Lvov.
I started studying in the medical department of The Medical
Academy of Wroclaw and graduated in 1964. The same year
I started my professional work with the internship in
the municipal Czerwiakowski’s Hospital, which lasted since15.10.1966.On
01.11.1966 I started working as the specialist registar
of professor Victor Bross in the II Surgical Teaching
Hospital of The Medical Academy of Wrocław, I was employed
there at the clinical post. In the State Clinical Hospital
On 27.04.1970 I achieved I grade specialization in general
surgery. Since 01.07.1970 I have been working in the Regional
Railway Hospital at the Plastic Surgery Ward, initially
as the assistant lecturer and after achieving the plastic
surgery specialization on 18.04.1975 – as the vice-head
of department. On 22.04.19777 and public defence of doctor’s
degree dissertation on “Own remarks on healing of the
wounds after dermatic transplants collection” and passing
the exams I achieved the M.D. Doctor’s degree. During
the 5th Scientific Conference of Plastic and Reconstructional
Surgery Section of Polish Surgeons Society that took place
in ŁódĽ on November 16th, 1980 I was elected to the Board
of the Section as a Secretary. I have held this position
till May 1984. On January 1st, 1981 I have started working
in the Medical Academy of Wrocław as a Head of Plastic
Surgery Department and I worked there till 31.12.1989.
On 01.01. 1990 I have started working in Regional Railway
Hospital in Wrocław again where I have won a competition
for the position of Head of Plastic and Reconstructional
Surgery Department, which I hold till now. Meanwhile the
profile of Ward’s activity has changed, I have implemented
the performance of the operations with the use of microsurgery
techniques so that the Ward became one of the three in
Poland where the doctors specializing in plastic surgery
may learn. During my tenure as a Head of Department 12
doctors achieved the grade of specialist in plastic and
reconstructional surgery, and currently 2 doctors are
preparing for specialization thesis and two other ones
– for doctor’s degree. In this period, during the III
Convention of Polish Plastic and Reconstructional Surgery
Society held in Warsaw, in October 1991, I was elected
the President of Polish Plastic and Reconstructional Surgery
Society. I held this position till 11.10.1995. During
my President’s tenure I organized in Wroclaw the IV Convention
of Polish Plastic and Reconstructional Surgery Society
and the first Polish Esthetical Surgery Course. I have
written and published 39 scientific thesis. |
